If you live in Parsippany Troy-Hills Fire District 6, catch a glimpse of Santa this Saturday as the Parsippany-Troy Hills Fire Association, which serves central Parsippany, will bring Santa around the neighborhoods on a gleeming red fire truck.

"It is a great time for all the children who wake up and get to run outside to the sounds of sirens and Christmas music," said Chewie Chmura. "The firefighters of Parsippany Troy-Hills Fire District 6 give out candy canes and let the children say hello to Santa."

If they take photos of Santa's tour and post it online, use the hash-tag parsippanyfire6santatour. The tour runs from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The rain date of Sunday at 9 a.m.

District 6 covers Lake Intervale, Druid Hill, Hills of Troy, Greenhill , Mazdabrook, Eastbrook, Normandy, Lord Stirling, Sunset as well as several apartments in its areas.

I believe each Parsippanny Fire District distributes candy canes and brings Santa around to it's area. So how about THANKS to all our fire districts, Rainbow Lakes, Mt. Tabor, Lake Hiawatha, Districts 3, 4 5 & 6. (A little repetition there but our honored volunteers deserve it)!!!! Thanks Firefighters!!!!!

Dist 3 (Lake Parsippany Volunteer Fire co) no longer takes Santa around the district on our truck. Instaed, Santa is at the firehouse (255 Halsey Road) and visits with the children there. The kids have a chance to talk with Santa and get photos taken. We found it much safer for the kids this way. One year a couple of kids got so excited at seeing Santa on the fire truck that they didn't pay attention and were nearly hit by a car while running to the truck to see Santa. Hope you can come to visit Santa this Saturady, Dec 14, from noon - 3 PM at our firehouse!
