Hollister Construction Services Donates Its Resources To Expand A Youth Community Center In Newark

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – March 18, 2014 – Hollister Construction Services (Hollister), a leading full-service construction manager specializing in corporate, educational, healthcare, industrial, retail and residential construction, has donated financial and consulting resources to The H.U.B.B. (Help Us Become Better), a community center in Newark for young people from area housing projects.

Christopher Johnson, founder and CEO of Hollister, has made a $5,000 grant from The Hollister Foundation towards the expansion of the facility.

“With its wide range of programming, the H.U.B.B. plays an integral part in the lives of young men and women from the community, and encouraging them to grow outside their surroundings is something we are proud, and honored, to be part of,” said Mr. Johnson. “In fact, what drives our team to make Hollister so successful is the opportunity it affords us to give back – and what better way to give back than a project like helping grow The H.U.B.B.?”

“We are so grateful that Hollister Construction Services and Chris Johnson have provided this generous gift to further our goal of keeping kids off the streets,“ said Al-Tariq W. Best, CEO and Founder of the FP YouthOutCry Foundation. “Since our founding, we have assisted hundreds of young people, and our success rates in terms of behavioral and academic performance improvement show how important this is. This donation will enable further positive change in the community.”

The H.U.B.B., in the Willy T. Wright Complex on Prince Street, serves as a Community Empowerment Center for FP YouthOutCry, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that originated in 2006 as a direct response to Newark’s dire need to address social problems impacting the physical, social and emotional well-being of children and their families. FP (Future Potential) YouthOutCry offers a broad spectrum of signature programs that enrich young people’s lives via the arts enrichment, education and mentoring, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
