The Hollister Foundation And United Way Of Northern New Jersey Raise Over $130,000 For Local Children In Need During Annual Golf Classic

The Hollister Foundation and United Way of Northern New Jersey raised over $130,000 for local children in need during their annual Help for Children Classic at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, NJ on Monday, October 21st. Nearly 200 community-minded leaders from a broad spectrum of corporate, construction and real estate related firms gathered at the world-renowned venue to participate in a spectacular day of golf to raise money and provide much needed resources to underserved children across New Jersey.

Baltusrol Golf Club, which will host the PGA Championship in 2016, was an idyllic backdrop for an event that included thought provoking signage throughout the course stating poignant facts about New Jersey’s children in need as a constant reminder to players that their participation was of critical importance. “Hollister takes its commitment to the community very seriously,” said Christopher A. Johnson, CEO of Hollister Construction Services and Vice President of The Hollister Foundation. “Education and health are the fundamental building blocks of a sustainable community. We believe children are the future leaders of our society and as such should be given every possible opportunity for development and growth.”

The Hollister Foundation also partnered with GlassRoots, a community organization based in Newark, New Jersey that fosters life-long learning and creative self-expression through the wonder of glassmaking, to produce unique glass awards for the event that were designed and fabricated by Newark children.
