Parsippany Hills High Grad Dies at Age 40

Josephine Ustica's funeral and mass are Tuesday.

Former Parsippany resident Josephine Ustica, 40, died last Thursday, Nov. 14 with her husband by her side. She was born to Giovanni and Concetta Iacono in Ragusa, Italy and a few months after her birth, her family moved to the U.S. and settled in Boonton. They later moved to Parsippany, where Ustica grew up and graduated from Parsippany Hills High School, according to Norman Dean Home for Services. 

After graduating from PHHS, she attended and graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts. After working for several companies Josephine has worked for more than 15 years as a Benefits Analyst for Zerox Business Services in Little Falls. 

"Josephine has always enjoyed a loving and warm relationship with her family and her extended family," according to her obituary.

Her mother Concetta died previously. She is survived by her husband Roberto whom she married on May 17, 1998 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Boonton. Her father Giovanni who lives in Woodland Park, her brothers and their wives Rosario and Rosanna Iacono of Whitestone, NY and Michael and Diana Iacono of North Arlington, NJ, her in-laws Giovanni and Anna Ustica as well as her nieces Francesca and Melania and her nephew Marco, as well as many other relatives. 

Family and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Her Funeral will be Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 righter Ave. Denville, New Jersey 07834 followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Service at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel at 910 Birch Street in Boonton.

Donations are being accepted to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, in her name.
