Former Parsippany Housing Director, Grandmother Dies at 71

Rene Plaxe spent the last 49 years of her life calling Parsippany home.

The former Parsippany-Troy Hills Township employee of more than 25 years, most recently as housing director, died at her home at the age of 71, according to her obituary.

Plaxe was born in Newark and grew up in Passaic. She spent some time with her family in Florida before settling down in Parsippany.

She is survived by two sons and six grandchildren.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, or to the 2013 Christopher D. Plaxe Trust.
