Former Parsippany Woman, Yankees Fanatic Dies at 70

Kathleen Boegershausen was involved in various Morris County organizations.

For more than 40 years, Kathleen Boegershausen was a staple in eastern Morris County.

The New York Yankees fanatic died on Thursday at the age of 70, according to her obituary.

Born in Newark, Boegershausen moved to Parsippany in 1972 and settled in Whippany in 1981. She was the head clerk in the Hanover Township Building Department for 15 years before retiring in 2003.

Boegershausen was also a lector at Saint Ann Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Irish American Association of Northwest New Jersey and a Healthy Bones Instructor at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville.

She is survived by her husband, Gary, a son, a daughter, and two grandchildren.
