Korean War Veteran, Parsippany Man Dies at 81

Vincent Bacile Jr. moved to Parsippany in 1962.

A Korean War veteran and longtime Parsippany resident passed away recently at the age of 81.

Victor Bacile, Jr was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York, before moving to Parsippany in 1962, according to his obituary.

The Cornell University graduate served in the Korean War from November 1952 to October 1954. He then worked for PSE&G in Newark for 35 years before retiring in 1993, at which point he was a senior manager.

Bacile loved to golf and was a member of the Spring Brook Country Club in Morristown for 40 years, and was also a member and official for the New Jersey State Golf Association.

Bacile is survived by his wife, Joyce, two sons, a twin sister and two grandchildren.
