Longtime Parsippany Resident, Banking Executive Dies at 81
Fred Gallagher served as Vice President of Chase Bank until 1994.
Fred Gallagher was a Parsippany resident for nearly 50 of his 81 years in New Jersey.
The veteran and banking executive died at his home recently, according to his obituary.
Gallagher served in the United States Army during peace time before being honorably discharged in November 1960. After his service time, Gallagher entered the financial services industry and became a banking executive for 30 years.

He most recently worked at Chase Bank in Parsippany before retiring as its Vice President in 1994.
Gallagher is pre-deceased by his first wife, Doris, who passed away in 1975, as well as his daughter, who passed away in 1994.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, and seven grandchildren.
