WWII Parsippany Veteran Dies at Age 86

Alfonso Narducci's burial is Monday morning. He was a Security Guard for the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills for many years before retiring.

Alfonso Narducci passed away this past Thursday at his home at the age of 86. he was born and raised in Newark before moving to Parsippany more than 60 years ago, according to Par-Troy Funeral Home.

Narducci served in the United States Army during World War II from June 5, 1945 until being honorably discharged on Dec. 2, 1946.

He was a Security Guard for the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills for many years before retiring and he was a member of St. Christopher R.C. Church in Parsippany.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Makar (nee-Kopacka) Narducci; his step-son, George D. Makar of Morris Township; his two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. on Monday at St. Christopher R.C. Church at 1050 Littleton Road, Parsippany and his interment will be at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton.
