Cafe Colore: Italian Food From Your Grandmother's Kitchen

Eat well without having to travel far.

Update: This article was revised on Nov. 14, 2011 to reflect menu changes brought by the restaurant's new owners.

Cafe Coloré has been serving up Italian food in Freehold for nearly 20 years. Newly renovated and with a brand new menu, they're ready to keep on rocking for another 20 years.

This is old school Italian the way your grandparents made it in their homes. Swing by with your family to recreate all those happy feelings you used to get at Sunday dinner without the hassle of doing dishes afterward. It’s not just the food that will give you those feelings, the atmosphere is so warm and inviting Grandma will wonder why you don’t visit her anymore (please don’t leave her at home!)

Favorite dishes include gnocchi Sorrentino, lasagna Juliet, almond encrusted filet of sole, veal Coloré, and bourbon marinated hanger steak.

The restaurant is open Thursday from noon to 9 p.m., Friday from noon to 10 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m.

Cafe Coloré is located at 3333 US Highway 9, Freehold, in the Chadwick Square Shopping Center. For more information, visit the restaurant’s Web site.
