Citizen Disenfranchisement

Overlooking a letter addressed to John P. Inglesio Esquire dated March 18.2013 concerning Waterview Landscape; quote "RDR would develop the property in conformity with the existing zoning if that were possible. It is not. Effectively, the current zoning has zoned the Property into inutility. Since such development is out of the question, alternative uses must be explored and a realistic zone plan adopted." This dialogue is between our Town Attorney, Belle Meade the owner and RDR the developer. Exploring all alternatives; would that not be possible public acquisition of the landscape into some other designation, open space, wildlife habitat or aquifer protection? Not allowing a public possibility to this land acquisition amounts to the citizens of Parsipanny and the State of New Jersey being disfranchised  of their rights as citizens RDR rezoning involve speculation and market values, the same market that has been robbing the Nation for exceeding profits. This rezoning will cause a tragic loss of place and home. Rezoning like the letter addressed to the Town above says; alternatives uses must be explored and realistic plan developed how can this happen without the public being given their plan or alternative? This supposed inuitlity of the land ignores its natural resource value as is. RDR ignores its environmentally critical aspects, aquifer recharge, adjacent wetlands, wetland transition area and its mature forest. Well then why cannot it be rezoned under these qualities; or simply diminish its zone of possible development, not expand it? If this rezoning takes place we have surely been disfranchised from our rights as citizens in a democracy. It will show that the present Administration are depots pretending to be Americans. The people of Parsipanny have overwhelming voiced their opposition to this disaster. Do  we not already have too much developed property already vacant and not in use so-called brown space. RDR should be directed there. If the Town Council chooses Market speculation over sense of place and home; favors the rezoning we have citizens, been disfranchised.
