Group home or potential disaster

I have just learned that a home on my street, will be purchased by the State and set up for 6 mentally handicapped adults  or recovering alcoholics/ drug addicts to live there.  This home in 1 block from Eastlake School a K thru 5 th grade school.  What responsible adult thinks this is a good idea?
