How about using a TND; known as Traditional Neighborhood Development Ordinance, type zoning code. TND ordinance can replace existing land-use codes or be instituted as an optional alternative. The opposite alternative if chosen by private sources would be accelerated through the permit process. Also hope the Senators and Township are not sincerely only trying to save the Old Building without the surrounding landscape in its entirety. Morris County has enough sprawl and impractical housing & unnecessary corporate developments. If Gray stone does not fit into a Regional Plan we have failed. This is another case of if we belonged to the Regional Highlands Master Plan things would surely work out better. Graystone a beautiful example of a "redevelopment zone" and preserved historic landscape.
