Waterview Adds Resources

I am a supporter of the Waterview Development  Project and believe it will be a large net positive for Parsippany.  The proposed addition of Whole Foods to Parsippany seems to exactly the type or organization we should encourage to locate here.  A quick look at their mission and values statement shows this is an enterprise with strong social and community values. (http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/mission-values) .  Whole Food has a history of giving to the communities where they are located.  So in addition to fiscal resources to our community in the form of jobs and enhanced tax revenue, Parsippany can anticipate adding human and intellectual resources as well  via corporate community programs.

I am a resident of Hunting Ridge and an original owner.  This townhouse development completed about 1999 added over two hundred units in a location that is bordered by single family homes and a shopping center.  In fact, it is a short distance from a second shopping center.  Using Hunting Ridge as test case of what happens when you live close to supermarkets and shopping centers, we find that the value of the homes have increased markedly over the years and have held their value even when the  general real estate was tanking.   Living in closed proximity to supermarkets can increase quality of life.  For those who will be living in close proximity to the stores, consider walking instead of jumping in your cars.
