Red Hawks Look to Spring nto Action at Morris Hills Relays

The Red Hawk Track and Field team is back in action tomorrow at the 49th Annual Morris Hills Relays at Morris Hills High School.  This meet traditional serves as the final relay tune-up prior Penn Relays.  So the athletes will look to have solid performances while the Coaches hope to finalize the lineup for the Penn.

The weather should cooperate with temperatures expected to be in low 60 with some sun… so come on out and cheer on our Red Hawks.

*The Swedish relay is a track event in which teams comprise four runners. The first runner runs 100 meters, the second one 200 m, the third one 300 m and the fourth runner 400 m, so the total length of the race is one kilometer

Field Events

1. Long Jump – Boys / Girls –Open Pit 9 a.m. –11:30 a.m.  We use two separate pits

2. Triple Jump - Boys / Girls –Open Pit 12:00 p.m.–2:30 p.m.  We use two separate pits

3. Javelin – Boys Open pit – 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Girls Open Pit – 11:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

4. Shot Put – Upper circle Girls – 9:00 a.m. Upper circle Boys – upon completion of girls.

5. Discus – Boys – 9:00 a.m. Girls – upon completion of boys

6. High Jump – Boys / Girls 9:00 a.m. We use two separate pits

7. Pole Vault – Boys 9:00 a.m. Girls- upon completion of Boys
