Red Hawks State Sectional Championship Preview

The Red Hawks head back to Bennett Center in Toms River on Sunday for the NJSIAA State Sectional Championship. The Red Hawks will compete in the Group2 North I section on Sunday at 9am.

“We are looking forward to the sectional meet with the Girls shooting for a title while the boys will be looking to gain points in several areas and hoping to have members advance to the group meet”, said Coach Bleuler.

The Girls will be led by Rugters bound, Bria Saunders who looks to win her third 55m dash title. Other major contributors will be Ally Schlosser in the 1600m, Jennifer Mlynar in the 800m and the Pignatelli sister duo of Samantha and Haley in the 3200m.  With the lack of strong contributors in the field events, the Lady Red Hawks will need help from other schools to take points away from the favorite Ramapo to secure their 1st Sectional title.

The Boys will be led Junior Malik Francis who looks to capture his first 55h title. While not in the hunt for the title, the goal of the boys team is to advance runners to Group Championship with top 6 finishes in their events.  Hopeful advancers are Josh Crawford in the 55m, Bhargav Tarpara in the 3200m, Peter Hernandez and Aaron Wood in the 400m as well the 4x400m relay.

Good Luck to our Red Hawks!!!
