Solid Red Hawks Performances at 49th Annual Morris Hills Relays

Yesterday, the Red Hawks competed at the 49th Annual Morris Hills Relay.  With some athletes out due to spring break vacation and injuries, the Red Hawks put out some top 6 places as they close out their Spring Break week.  The team now turn their attention to meet against Dover on Tuesday and The Penn Relays on Thursday and Friday.

400m Hurdles Relay

Lady Red Hawks finished 4th with the relay of Jen Mlynar, Gabby Rachmaciej and Michelle Herrera in 3:31.53 .  Jen had the 4th fastest split of the day with a time of 107.64.

The Boys Red Hawks finished 6th with a relay of Malik Francis, Christian Hulse-Carr and Antonio Ybanez in 3:07.97.

 

4x100m Hurdles Shuttle Relay

Lady Red Hawks just came up short for medal with a 6th place finish.  The relay of Kelly Higinbotham, Michelle Herrera, Nicole Herrera and Jen Mlynar came from the last heat to finished strong in time of 1:11.29.

 

4x100m Relay

Lady Red Hawks finished 2nd in 52.09 with relay mates of Salena LeDonne, Amanda Angulo, Gabby Rachmaciej and Bria Saunders. On the Boys side, the relay of Sheldon Ealy, Malik Francis, Kwaku Agyemang and Josh Crawford finished 3rd in 45.19.

 

4x200m Relay

The Boys relay of Sheldon Ealy, Malik Francis, Kwaku Agyemang and Josh Crawford finished 4th in 1:33.91

 

4x400m Relay

The Girls relay of Bria Saunders, Jen Mlynar, Gabby Rachmaciej and Nicole Herrera finished in 2nd place with a time of 4:10.25.

 

In the Swedish Relay, the Lady Red Hawks finished 5th in 2:50.76 with a relay of Salena LeDonne, Kelly Higinbotham, Allie Davanzo and Amanda Angulo. While the Boys finished 3rd with Nicolas Colella, Matthew Ruggiero, Antonio Ybanez and David Patracuolla in 2:13.84.

 

Field Events

It was a competitive day for the Red Hawks jumpers and throwers going against some of the top competition in the state.  The Lady Red Hawks were able to come home with some hardware around their necks while the Boys had a tougher task earning a top 6 finish.  The Girls Javelin Relay of Kathryn Campbell, Donna Herbst and Elena Figueroa finished 4th overall with a combined mark of 272-10. Sophomore Kathryn Campbell finished 3rd overall with a mark of 107-11. In the Discus Throw Relay, the team of Kathryn Campbell, Emily Fales and Donna Herbst finished 6th overall with a combined total mark of 232-05.
