3-Car Accident Results in Fire, But No Serious Injuries

Early-evening crash on Interstate 80 westbound occurred at mile marker 41.7 in Parsippany.

A three-car accident that caused one vehicle to catch fire on Interstate 80 in Parsippany early Tuesday evening resulted in no serious injuries, state police said.

Trooper C. Basista, of the state police station in Netcong, said the accident caused one car to catch fire and entrapment, but that extrication was performed successfully and no serious injuries were suffered. Basista said the accident occurred westbound at mile marker 41.7, and that no other information was currently available.
