Alleged Kmart Shoplifter Charged With Another Theft

Already charged with multiple robberies on Route 46, man now reportedly charged with theft at Boonton Game Stop.

According to the Daily Record, Ilya Belous, 25, of Parsippany, has been charged with robbing $400 from Game Stop in Boonton on Dec. 12. The report says Belous, who had previously worked for the store, was picked out of a lineup by an employee.

Belous was confronted last month by the Parsippany Kmart's security after he allegedly walked out of the store on Dec. 27 pushing a cart with a 40-inch Samsung television valued at $329.99 that he hadn't paid for.

Detectives Joseph Puso and Edward Conklin responded to the call after hearing the description of the shoplifter matched the description of the man wanted for several strong-armed robberies. The detectives saw Belous running west on Route 46 and arrested him as officers Paul Levi and David Cavaliere arrived at the scene.

said he was the person allegedly responsible for seven strong-armed robberies and attempted robberies along the Route 46 commercial corridor since Dec. 11.
