Alleged PNC Bank Robber Admits to Little Falls Bank Heist

Police said Stephen Smith may be responsible for another bank robbery in Woodland Park.

The Brooklyn man arrested for allegedly on Route 46 Wednesday says he is also responsible for the Sept. 1 robbery of a TD Bank in Little Falls, according to a report on NorthJersey.com.

There is also a possibility that the man may be connected to an Aug. 12 robbery of $6,000 from a TD Bank in Woodland Park, NorthJersey.com reported.

Wednesday afternoon after  investigators broadcast a description of the man to authorities, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

Little Falls Police told NorthJersey.com that Smith admitted to the TB Bank heist, in which he allegedly handed a note to a teller asking the employee to place cash in a bag to ensure the safety of everyone in the bank. The note also said he was not alone and warned employees not to follow him, said the NorthJersey.com report.

Police said Smith got away with $795.

Smith is being held in the Morris County Jail for the Parsippany offense on $100,000 bail with no 10 percent option , according to the county prosecutor's office. He now faces charges on robbery and theft for the Little Falls incident as well, and another $100,000 bail with no 10 percent option for charges in Morris County, NorthJersey.com reported.
