As Police Pursue Suspect, Students Prevented From Walking Home
Safety no longer at risk after police activity near Knollwood School Tuesday afternoon.

The sent an alert to parents shortly before 3:30 p.m., informing those with children who usually walk home from Knollwood that they would need to be picked up at the school.
"Due to a police emergency, Knollwood students will not be walking home today," the message read. "If you have a walker please make arrangements to have your child picked up."

According to a Parsippany Police dispatcher, officers were pursuing a suspect in the area at that time and did not want the children walking in the area.
The situation has been resolved and safety is no longer at risk, the dispatcher said.
