Bentleys Worth $400K Stolen From Outside Showroom

Thieves drive off with two high-end cars that were idling outside a Route 46 dealership.

A group of brazen thieves drove off with two luxury vehicles worth nearly a half-million dollars that were parked idling outside a Route 46 dealership's showroom early Saturday evening, Parsippany Police said.

According to police, Paul Miller Bentley employees said two vehicles for sale were left running outside of the showroom Saturday shortly after 5 p.m. A red BMW X5 pulled up in front of the dealership and two black males, one wearing a red hooded sweatshirt exited the vehicle, police said. Police said each man got into one of the idling vehicles and drove off onto Route 46, accompanied by the red BMW.

The three vehicles then made a U-turn at the entrance to the Arlington Plaza shopping center and fled onto Interstate 80 East, police said. Police report the retail value of the stolen vehicles was $403,927.

An investigation into the thefts is underway. Anyone with information regarding the incident should call Parsippany Police at 973-263-4300 or send e-mail to crime_tips@parpolice.com.

Almost 100% an inside job. Unless two three men in a red beamer just happened to be riding on 46 and thought to themselves, oh, let's steal two high end cars, the cars were kept running outside the showroom for a long time for a reason.

Totally inside job....how would anyone driving down Rt. 46 know these cars were running and just jump right in? Give me a break.....check the employee's cell phone records...bet there are calls to tell the thieves "come and get it!!"
