Car Carrier Catches Fire, Shuts Lane on I-80

Blaze occurred near Littleton Road exit in Parsippany, officials said.

A car carrier transporting cars caught fire Thursday morning on westbound Interstate 80 in Parsippany, shutting down the right lane of the highway near the exit for Route 202/Littleton Road, authorities said.

The fire was reported around 9:10 a.m. and the lane re-opened around 10:30 a.m., according to state police. NJ511 reported the incident delayed traffic 10 to 15 minutes.

Parsippany firefighters responded to the blaze, and no injuries were reported, police said.
