Car Flips, Stalls Traffic on 280 West, Police Say

Crews are working to clear the roads, State Police said.

A lane on 280 West in Parsippany remains closed as police sort out an accident in which a car flipped upside down, New Jersey State Police said.

The accident, which occurred at 12:56 p.m. Monday, involved a Honda Accord and an SUV, said State Police Lt. Stephen Jones.

One of the cars overturned in the collision, he said. There were only minor injuries, and both drivers declined medical treatment, he added.

Lanes were still closed as of 2 p.m. with state troopers on scene. Tow trucks are en route, said Jones.

“There were no significant injuries and the crews will clean it up pretty quickly,” he said.
