Car in Hotel Lot Reportedly Burglarized

 say they are investigating the reported burglary of a car parked in the lot of the Hyatt House Hotel at 299 Smith Road last week.

The department said the incident took place between the evening of July 17 and the morning of July 18.

According to police, the driver's side door of a 2004 Acura parked in the lot appeared to have been forced open. Items including electronics with a total value of $700 were reported stolen, police said.

Parsippany detectives and an investigator from the Morris County Criminal Investigative Section are looking into the case.
