Construction to Close Route 202 Ramp to I-80 in Parsippany for Months

Police advise using I-287 to access I-80 in either direction during the 6- to 12-week period.

The entrance ramp from Route 202 (Littleton Road) onto Interstate 80 eastbound in Parsippany will soon be closed for up to three months, police said.

The closure is expected to begin at 11 p.m. Friday, April 11 and will remain shut down for 6 to 12 weeks, weather permitting, while a new ramp is constructed.

There will be no direct access from Route 202 North to I-80 East while the construction is underway. The ramp to be closed is located at the intersection of Frontage and Marmora roads.

Frontage Road will remain open to local traffic. Heavy delays are expected on Route 202 between Route 10, Parsippany Boulevard and Cherry Hill Road between routes 46 and 202.

Police advise using Interstate 287 to access either direction of I-80 while the construction is ongoing.

Those commuting to and from the Mack-Cali Campus located near Route 202 (Sylvan Way, Campus Drive, Century Drive, Hilton Court, Dryden Way and Entin Road) should travel on Dryden Way to Route 10 East to I-287 North to access I-80 in either direction and avoid very heavy delays expected on Route 202 and commercial areas in that vicinity, according to police.

Local residents may travel on I-287 North from the Parsippany Road entrance ramp to access I-80 in either direction. Very heavy traffic congestion is expected in the area.
