Cops: Two Cited in DWI Cases

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

report handling two driving while intoxicated incidents in the township in the last week.

The first came last Friday afternoon, when police said a suspected hit-and-run accident led to the arrest of a Denville resident.

Patricia Davey, 53, was arrested after officers responded to a motor vehicle accident near the Outback Steakhouse at 1300 Route 46. Police said the officers were investigating what appeared to be a hit-and-run accident in which Davey's vehicle allegedly struck the rear of another vehicle while traveling west on Route 46.

After questioning, the woman was arrested for DWI, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.

Police said Davey was released to the custody of a family member.

In another incident, police said Officer Jason Ferreira was patrolling North Beverwyck Road just after 2 a.m. Tuesday when he spotted a young man vomiting out of the driver’s side window of a vehicle in the parking lot of the 7-11 convenience store parking lot at Lake Shore Drive.

On approach, police said Officer Ferreira observed that the vehicle’s right front tire was flat.

Police said Parsippany resident Leonard Delsea Jr., 18, was taken to an area hospital due his level of suspected intoxication.

The young man was issued summonses for DWI, reckless driving and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
