Downed Wires Cause Outage on Roosevelt Avenue

Power should return within an hour or two, according to the police.

Downed wires on Roosevelt Avenue in Lake Hiawatha around 1 p.m. on Sunday have caused a power outage to a few homes on the street, according to Sgt. Richard Davis of the Parsippany Police Department.

Davis said he did not know what caused the downed wires, but that, as of 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to Jersey Central Power & Light, power should be restored within an hour or two.
