Drunk Man Tried Getting Into Cars in Dealership Lot, Cops Say

Parsippany man had outstanding warrant, caught in car lot during overnight hours, report said.

An allegedly drunk Parsippany man was caught trying to get into vehicles in a township car dealership's parking lot early Saturday morning, Parsippany Police said.

According to a police statement, Officer Michelle Kardos was called to Paul Miller Audi at 179 Route 46 at about 2:30 a.m. to investigate a report of a man attempting to enter a vehicle on the dealer's lot.

The officer encountered Airick J. Grable, who appeared intoxicated and was trying to get inside an Audi Q5, Sgt. Yvonne Christiano said.

Christiano said the officer found Grable had an active warrant out of Lakewood in the amount of $750 for a motor vehicle violation and arrested him.

Grable was arrested on the warrant and released on the authority of Lakewood Police Department pending a court date, she added.
