Drunken Driver Causes 3-Car Crash at Stop Light, Cops Say

Morristown man was charged with DWI and cell phone use while driving.

Two vehicles stopped at a traffic signal at Route 10 and Powder Mill Road were involved in a ricochet crash thanks to a motorist now charged with driving while intoxicated and using his cell phone, say Parsippany police.

A 2012 Hyundai being driven by Morristown resident Jorge I. Arboleda-Hernande, 32, struck a vehicle sitting at the stop light just after 11 p.m., police said. That car, in turn, struck the vehicle ahead of it that also was waiting for the light to turn green, police said.

Arboleda-Hernande was arrested and charged and released to the custody of a friend, police said.
