UPDATE: Power Back on in Mount Tabor
Powerful winds helped knock out power in sections of the Parsippany neighborhood.
A JCP&L spokesperson says power is back on in Mount Tabor after a brief outage this afternoon.
At about 3 p.m., areas near Simpson Avenue suffered a power outage as the result of Monday afternoon's gusting winds.
According to Parsippany Police, the blowing wind reportedly broke off a tree branch, which fell right by the United Methodist Church at Mount Tabor and came in contact with the main power line.
