Firefighters Extinguish Brush Fire

Not yet known if suspicious activity caused the blaze.

Firefighters responded Sunday afternoon to a brush fire on Old Dover Road, limiting the blaze to an area of about 100 yards, according to Lt. Tom Carney, of the .

According to Carney, the fire, which was located on a hill adjacent to the Glenmont Commons townhouse community, was reported around 1 p.m. Firefighters had the entire blaze extinguished by about 2:30 p.m.

There were no apparent injuries as a result of the fire and it's not yet known if suspicious activity caused the blaze, police said.

The Greystone Park and Morris Plains fire departments assisted Parsippany in dousing the fire.
