Firefighters Extinguish Delbrook Road Blaze
According to neighbors, two dogs may have perished in the fire.
A fire that gutted a Delbrook Road home Wednesday evening left residents with no serious injuries, but may have killed two dogs, according to neighbors.
According to a neighbor at the scene, the fire, located at 17 Delbrook Road, ignited a little before 4 p.m. while the resident of the home was outside mowing the lawn. The neighbor said that the entire home went up in flames almost immediately.
Firefighters were forced to break the windows of the home and cut open the roof, according to people at the scene. By 6 p.m. the fire was extinguished, leaving smoke billowing from the smoldering roof.

No other residents were home at the time of the fire, but neighbors said the owner had a clothes dryer running, and speculated that it may have led to the blaze.
Parsippany fire officials were not immediately available for comment.

Responding to the fire along with the Parsippany Troy Hills Fire Department were the Mount Tabor Fire Department, Rainbow Lakes Fire Deptartment, Lake Parsippany Volunteer Fire Department, Parsippany Rockaway Neck First Aid Squad and Parsippany Animal Control.
