Florida Man Wanted for Alleged Child Sex Trafficking Arrested in Parsippany

Authorities believe Eric Antwan Bell was a most-wanted criminal.

FBI officials report a Florida man was arrested in Parsippany Aug. 31 as part of an investigation by the Clearwater Area Human Trafficking Task Force. The arrest took place without incident, according to a statement from Newark FBI special agent and spokesperson Bryan L. Travers.

Eric Antwan Bell was a target of the FBI since a criminal complaint was filed against him last January, said Travers. The suspect is alleged to have been involved in the production of child pornography. Authorities also believe Bell possessed a firearm illegally and engaged in the sex trafficking of a minor. He was living in Jersey City at the time of his arrest.

Bell's case attracted national attention. Shortly after the arrest complaint was made, his story was featured on the television show "America's Most Wanted." His story also was featured on the ClearChannel Outdoor Digital Billboard network throughout the Tampa Bay, Fla., area, and  the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement website called Bell one of the agency’s most wanted criminals.

FBI agents, along with members of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations, made the arrest.
