Gold Rings, Precious Stones Stolen From Lake Hiawatha Home, Cops Say

Police asking for public's assistance in finding alleged burglar.

A home on Hoffman Avenue in the Lake Hiawatha section of town was robbed of a variety of jewelry, and police are on the hunt for a perpetrator.

Parsippany police responded to the residence at 11:46 a.m. on Sunday in reponse to a burglary at a residence, police said. The residents told police they noticed jewelry had been taken from their home, police said.

While the residence had no signs of forcible entry, gold rings, necklaces and earrings with precious stones were said to be taken from the home, police said. The exact value of the items not available.
