UPDATE: Human Skeletal Remains Found in Town

Authorities are in the process of leaving the scene after an afternoon of investigating.

What appears to be human skeletal remains were found Thursday afternoon by a cleaning company worker on Sylvan Way, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.

According to Capt. Jeffrey Paul, a spokesman for Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, a landscaper discovered the remains in the brush line on Sylvan Way just east of Entin Road at about noon. The area is in a deserted section of woods near a string of corporate buildings.

Ivan Gaviria, an employee of The Leon's Cleaning and Services, talked with Patch and confirmed that he and a co-worker were cleaning garbage along the brush line of Sylvan Way and found a garbage bag containing what appeared to be human bones.
