Lake Hiawatha Man Faces DUI Charge

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A report of someone driving on the lawn of an Edwards Road home led to a driving under the influence charge for a Lake Hiawatha man early Friday, according to Parsippany Police.

Department spokesperson Ptlm. Earl Kinsey said a short investigation resulted in the arrest of 44-year-old William Vonfrankenberg of Parsippany.

Officer Matthew McAuliffe responded to a call regarding a car driving on a lawn at about 4:44 a.m. Friday, police said. According to Kinsey, McAuliffe found a green Infiniti parked in the residence's front yard and tire tracks throughout the property. Vonfrankenberg was arrested shortly thereafter, he said.

Police report the suspect was released pending a court date.
