Lake Hiawatha Man Found with 30 Bags of Heroin, Cops Say

Police probe into drug distribution led to Tuesday arrest near Knoll Gardens Apartments.

A Parsippany Police probe lead to the arrest Tuesday night of an 18-year-old Lake Hiawatha resident allegedly found to be in possession of 30 bags of heroin.

Police say Tolga Gezer was taken into custody at about 8 p.m. Tuesday near Knoll Gardens Apartments after he was found with the heroin. The man faces a charge of heroin possession with the intent to distribute the substance.

The arrest comes as part of an ongoing investigation by the PPD's Investigative Division into the distribution of controlled substances within the township, according to a police statement.

Gezer is being held in the Morris County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail with no 10 percent option, said department spokesperson Ptlm. Earl Kinsey.

The heroin was placed into evidence along with Gezer’s cell phone, said the police statement.
