Lake Hiawatha Woman Charged With Shoplifting from Super Foodtown

She allegedly attempted to leave store without paying.

A Lake Hiawatha woman was accused Thursday of shoplifting from the Super Foodtown on North Beverwyck Road after employees saw her allegedly stuffing items into a brown bag and attempted to leave the store without paying, said Tuesday.

Dena M. Simonelli, 46, was arrested for allegedly stealing items worth $39.03 at around 3 p.m. Officer Steven Miller, who answered the call, brought her to headquarters where she was processed and released on her own recognizance pending a court date.
