Late-Night Home Oil Leak Brings Responders

What was thought to be an oil spill was a domestic incident.

A report of a fuel oil spill late Tuesday night turned out to be a residential home's leaking oil tank.

Parsippany Police and and members of the Lake Hiawatha District 4 Fire Department arrived at the scene in the 200 block of Lake Shore Drive at about 11:04 p.m. Firefighters discovered that the source of the trouble was an exterior fuel tank of a neighboring home was leaking.

Morris County Hazmat handled the cleanup of the material.
