Lauren Conte's Death Still Considered Accidental

No new information from authorities.

The death of whose after she went missing in December, is still considered accidental, police said Friday.

Although the results of autopsy reports are generally not released unless there is a suspicion of a crime, Parsippany Police Sgt. Yvonne Christiano said no new information has surfaced since a .

"It was just a tragic accident,'' said Christiano.

, when she left her mom's apartment to smoke a cigarette around 3:30 p.m. and never came home. Her body was found on March 7.

Friends speculated that Conte, who had an infant son, may have stepped out onto the ice and fallen through. She liked to take walks, said her friend and neighbor Danny Margotta, who grew up with her in the Colonial Arms apartments.

Conte often walked the neighborhood pushing her child in a stroller, said Margotta, but that day, she was alone.
