Ledgewood Man Had Six Active Warrants, Police Say

Two Ledgewood men were arrested on outstanding warrants following a motor vehicle stop early Tuesday on Route 10, Parsippany Police said.

While on patrol on Route 10 eastbound shortly after 12:30 a.m., Officer Robert Appel saw a green Ford vehicle drifting from lane to lane, police said.

Appel pulled over the vehicle and discovered that its driver, 38-year-old Arthur G. Nadeau had a suspended driver’s license and six active motor vehicle warrants out of Mendham Township, Roxbury, Hopatcong, Pohatcong-Philippsburg, Newark and East Orange, according to Sgt. Yvonne Christiano.

The warrants totalled of $2,420, police said.

Police added that the vehicle’s passenger, William Gonzales, 35, had an active warrant of his own, for contempt of court, from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

Nadeau and Gonzales were arrested and transported to PPD headquarters, police said.

Police said Nadeau was issued summonses for careless driving and driving on a suspended license. He reportedly was placed in the Hopatcong Police Department's custody.

Gonzales was turned over to the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, police said.
