Police: Man Charged With DWI After Allegedly Yelling at Officer

Arrest occurred on April Fool's Day.

A Chatham man was arrested for alleged drunk driving on April Fool's Day after apparently honking and yelling at a police officer driving an unmarked car, Parsippany Police said.

Alan P. McClay, 52, allegedly beeped his horn and shouted at Sgt. Richard Nicoletti, who was stopped at a traffic light at Parsippany Boulevard and Route 46 at about 9 p.m.

After an investigation, McClay, who was driving a 2004 Ford van, was arrested and charged with DWI and driving while suspended. He was released to the custody of a friend.
