Man Indicted on Human Trafficking Charges in Parsippany

Elizabeth man allegedly acted as 'pimp and driver' for 17-year-old last October.

An Elizabeth man was indicted Thursday for allegedly pushing a 17-year-old into prostitution in Parsippany in October 2013.

According to dailyrecord.com, the 22-year-old man, named Wendy Archelus, acted as a pimp and driver for the teen on Oct. 17. Archelus is charged with first-degree human trafficking, along with promoting prostitution and endangering the welfare of a child.

Archelus is being held in Morris County jail on $200,000 bail, the report said. A bail reduction hearing is being held Friday morning in Morristown.
