An elderly woman thought to be missing Wednesday night was found in short order, Parsippany Police report.
At about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to Troy Hills Center on Reynolds Avenue after getting word of a missing woman with a history of dementia, according to a police statement.
Multiple emergency response groups were involved in the search. Joining the police were the Parsippany Volunteer Ambulance, Rescue and Recovery and Parsippany Troy-Hills Fire Association District 6, said department spokesperson Patrolman Earl Kinsey.
"Within 20 minutes, the woman was located by Parsippany Rescue and Recovery on Schindler Court, where she was sitting at the edge of a yard," said Kinsey.
The woman was taken to St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville for a precautionary routine evaluation, Kinsey said, adding that she was not injured.
