Mountain Lakes Shooting Closes Route 46

Prosecutor expected to release more details Friday night.

A spokesman for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office has confirmed a shooting took place late Friday afternoon on Route 46 in Mountain Lakes.

Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi is expected to release more information on the incident at a news briefing Friday night at about 9 p.m.

The shooting occurred on the property of a commercial building near Paul's Diner.

According to NJ.com, at least one person was killed in the incident, which shutdown Route 46 in both directions for several hours during the evening commute.
