No Injuries as Car Bursts Into Flames

Parsippany Police arson investigators and Morris County Prosecutor's Office continue to probe cause.

No one was injured when an unoccupied vehicle burst into flames Tuesday night outside a Parsippany Boulevard apartment complex,  said.

Officers Alfred Keiser and Michael Sprung arrived at The Tivoli Gardens and saw the passenger compartment engulfed with flames and tried to extinguish the fire themselves Tuesday night at about midnight, police said.

According to police, the officers' portable extinguishers had little impact on the fire.

arrived and was able to extinguish the fire, police said, adding that firefighters confirmed that the vehicle was unoccupied.

PPD's Investigative Division and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office came to the scene to launch a probe that police said is still in progress.
