Overturned Subaru Leads to DWI Arrest, Police Say

Wharton man received summonses.

Parsippany Police say a Wharton man faces a drunk driving charge after flipping his vehicle early Thursday morning on New Road.

Officers were called at about 4:07 a.m. with a report of an upside-down 1998 green Subaru sitting on the front lawn of a New Road residence, police said. The vehicle was unoccupied, police said, but the driver, 23-year-old Terrance E. Sanders, was at the scene.

According to police, Sanders was examined by members of the Rockaway Neck First Aid Squad and afterward was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.

The Wharton resident also was issued summonses for DWI and careless driving, police said.
