Parsippany Man Tried to Obtain Electronics in Hackettstown, Cops Say

Pair charged following incident in a department store parking lot.

Two men, including a Par-Troy resident, were arrested for allegedly soliciting electronic equipment from people in front of the Hackettstown Marshall’s on Thursday, Hackettstown Police said.

Scott Levine, 23, of Parsippany, and Daniel Jonas, 20, of West Orange, stationed a blue van in the retail store’s parking lot and solicited the goods, Det. Darren Tynan said.

When police located Levine and Jonas, they found multiple surround-sound systems in the rear of the van, Tynan said.
