Parsippany Man, 18, Arrested on Drug Charges

The following arrest information was supplied by the Parsippany Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A township 18-year-old allegedly solicited the help of a 17-year-old to distribute drugs, said Thursday.

Brian Morrison was charged last week with possession of a prescription legend drug without a prescription, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, theft (of a laptop), distribution of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and employing a person under 17 years of age to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

The Parsippany Police Department launched its probe after receiving reports of illegal activity in April, according to police. In the weeks that followed, police said enough evidence was collected to earn a search warrant on May 3 for Morrison's Lake Hiawatha residence.

"Detectives made contact and detained Mr. Morrison outside of his home while Parsippany detectives, along with a K-9 unit from the Morris County Sheriff’s Department conducted a search of the premises," Officer Earl Kinsey said in statement.

"Police located a black case containing small Zip-lock type bags, a glass jar containing marijuana, a small digital scale, a small bag of marijuana, a glass bong, a small quantity of a hallucinogenic drug called 'Bromo-DragonFLY,' an unlabeled prescription bottle containing 90 orange capsules and a stolen laptop computer."
